Ilenia Mars ist Malerin, zudem Songwriter und Sängerin verschiedener Bands. Als Visagistin war sie bereits für Filme und Musikvideos und u.a. regelmäßig für den Fotokünstler Phil Porter tätig. 2022 spielte sie eine Rolle in der Theaterproduktion "Die rebellische Hexe" und leitete zugleich die Masken-Werkstatt der Verdener Domfestspiele; auch 2025 ist sie erneut als Darstellerin, Sängerin als auch künstlerische Assistenz der Kostüm- und Maskenwerkstatt engagiert.
In Ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich vorwiegend mit seelischen Zuständen und thematisiert tradierte Muster menschlichen Zusammenlebens. Zumeist unter Verwendung verschiedener Fundstücke, komponiert sie so Szenen oftmals gesellschaftlicher (Zwangs-) Gemeinschaften.

Ilenia Mars is a painter, as well as a songwriter and singer in various bands. As a makeup artist, she has worked on films and music videos, and has regularly collaborated with photographic artist Phil Porter. In 2022, she played a role in the theatre production „The Rebellious Witch“ and also led the makeup workshop for the Verdener Domfestspiele. She will return in 2025, once again performing as an actress and singer, while also serving as artistic assistant in the costume and makeup department.
In her work, she primarily explores emotional states and addresses traditional patterns of human coexistence. Often using various found objects, she composes scenes that frequently depict forms of (forced) social communities.
